Review:
An opportunity to learn from one of medical sexuality's best informed, most experienced [practitioners] and best storytellers. (Stephen F. Pariser, M.D.)
It is rare to find a book on this topic that will appeal to professionals and lay people alike. The credit goes to the author, who displays an open and nonjudgmental attitude, presents his material with a touch of humor but always with good taste, and is obviously quite dedicated to sex education and therapy. (Frida G. Surawicz, M.D.)
[Dr. Levine] speaks to the reader with warmth, insight, and personal authenticity. This book covers us from our teenage years to our eighties and is interesting and helpful reading for real people with real problems and the therapists who help them. (Alan J. Wabrek, M.D.)
[Reading Stephen Levine] is like listening to a superb therapist. He doesn't tell you exactly what to think or do, but creates an experience including enough information and sensitivity that solutions become available. [This] is an elegant blend of essay, scholarly findings, and practical suggestions, recommended highly for students and practitioners in medicine and mental health, sex counselors, educators, therapists, and sophisticated clients. (Seth Ersner-Hershfield, Ph.D.)
