By an itzy bitzy house,
down a twisty turny lane,
animals gather in the hope of finding
warmth and shelter from the pouring rain.
And then someone appears at
the creaky cranky door . . .
A fantastic feel-good story — fun to read aloud

Itzy Bitzy House
Story by Christine Morton-Shaw
Illustrated by Arthur Robins
This whimsically humorous story in verse comes with funny, full-color illustrations on every page. A poor little mouse stands out in the rain, wishing he could find shelter in the “itzy bitzy house down a twisty lane.” While he’s feeling sorry for himself, along comes furry-purry pussycat, so the mouse must run and hide. Next comes a dog who frightens the cat. . . then a goat who frightens the dog. Finally, at the door of the itzy bitzy house, there appears a “wrinkly crinkly man with twinkly winkly eyes.” He is about to give the frightened, rain-soaked animals a happy surprise!
