About the Author:

Ragnhild Scamell was born in Denmark but soon found her way to England, where to date she has written a dozen chldren's books for a variety of publishers. She and her husband with their pet cats and English Sheepdog live and work in England's Kent countryside, near the famous cathedral town of Canterbury.

Gaby Hansen was born and received her art training in Johannesburg, South Africa. She has lived and worked in London since 1998, and has illustrated both school text books and juvenile stories.

That evening, as the snow swirls around outside, she beckons him into the house, where she dries and feeds him, and he settles down on her bed. He has become her "wish come true cat." Colorful, average-quality drawings capture the feline's scruffiness, while his antics will charm readers. With the moral that wishes don't always come true as we expect them to, this is a pleasant-enough tale to share during storytime.
