About the Author:

Janet Bregman-Taney After nearly a decade of answering letters for philosopher/architect Buckminster Fuller, Janet Bregman-Taney found herself writing features and a consumer column for the Philadelphia City Paper. She has since written newspapers-in-education supplements for the Philadelphia Inquirer, a newsletter for Rodale Press, and a coloring book for the Philadelphia Orchestra, as well as CD liner notes and a TV pilot. Currently, she is editor of Dignity, a monthly magazine for people 50 and older, published by the Pocono Record. When not chained to her computer, Janet is a multi-instrumentalist for the Juggernaut String Band with who she has traveled extensively in Europe and the Eastern United States, appeared on radio and TV, and recorded four albums. Since moving to the Poconos in 1995, she is convinced that she lives in one of the most magical spots on the planet, and she plans to be here for an unimaginably long time.

Kenneth Clark, who served as a feature writer, general assignments reporter, and media critic both for the United Press International and he Chicago Tribune, was a veteran of 35 years in daily journalism when he retired in 1995. Since then he has found time to write a novel titled Omega Rising: Adventures in a Parallel Universe, co-author the Insiders' Guide to the Pocono Mountains, and travel the nation in a motor home with his wife Dorothy. Out of those journeys have come "Highways and Byways-My Way," a serious of monthly travel columns for Dignity magazine. When not on the road, he and Dorothy live in a deep forest in Marshalls Creek, Pennsylvania, which, ultimately, is the best destination of them all.
