Ages 12+ In this follow-up to Dragonfly (2009), Rain s gender prevents her from revealing her talent for stained glass design, so when she is given the opportunity to secretly work in a foreign land, she gladly takes it, not knowing that her path leads into a country rife with economic chaos. As she struggles to survive, she finds both inner strength and unexpected love. The main characters constant arguments make the romance less believable, but both Rain and her beau, Peri, are otherwise spunky teens who are easy to identify with.
