From Booklist:
Gr. K-1. Here's a simple story with a cute twist. The pigtailed narrator visits her grandmother, but the girl is leery about Grandma Sal's wanting her to try new things. The child tells Grandma that she doesn't like to hike, swim, and ride but Grandma always retorts, "I do," and after the child tries the activity, she likes it, too. When the girl wants Grandma to get on a roller coaster, the shoe is on the other foot. The repetitive text will work well for children just starting to read, and there's enough story to hold interest. The jaunty watercolors, outlined in ink, resemble other pieces of cartoon-style art, but they have their own energy. A good first choice from the Compass Point Early Reader series. Ilene Cooper
