About the Author:

Freelance writer, reviewer and author David Buckley was born in Liverpool in 1965. In 1993 he was awarded his doctorate from the Institute of Popular Music at Liverpool University for his thesis on David Bowie. His books include The Stranglers: No Mercy - The Authorised and Uncensored Biography (Hodder & Stoughton 1997) and the critically acclaimed Strange Fascination - David Bowie: The Definitive Story (Virgin Books, 1999).
