The Battle of the Atlantic was one of the major turning points of World War II, and the very survival of Britain depended on its outcome. Following the formula adopted in his two previous books ("RAF: An Illustrated History" and "The Battle of Britain"), Roy Nesbit has written a short, but detailed, narrative of the battle, accompanied by a selection of some 200 archive photographs and paintings.

About the Author:

ROY CONYERS NESBIT served as a navigator on Bristol Beauforts and Douglas Dakotas during the Second World War. He is author of over thirteen books including The Battle of Britain (Sutton, 2000) and RAF An Illustrated History from 191 (Sutton, 1998).
