About the Author:

Patrick Ortmeier has a Bachelors and Masters degree in Criminal Justice and a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership with an emphasis in Public Safety Training and Development. He has been a law enforcement, public safety and security practitioner, researcher and educator for the past 20 years. He is currently teaching criminal justice, public safety and security management at Grossmont College in El Cajon, California as well as California State University in San Marcos.
