About the Author:

Steve Brown was introduced to the Grand Strand by his wife and immediately fell in love with the place. He makes his home in Greenville, South Carolina, a little over four hours, and much too far, from the beach. A member of the Mystery Writers of America and Sisters in Crime, he is the author of Of Love and War, a love story set against the backdrop of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, and Black Fire, a novel of suspense about the modern South.

This is certainly not a required purchase, but for libraries that want to take a chance on a small-press mystery with the potential to develop a cult readership, it might be wise to pay attention to Susan Chase.
