About the Author:

Jack McLean has been a writer, broadcaster and award-winning columnist for three decades. He has also been an art teacher, illustrator, copy-writer, musician and restaurateur. His interest in food streches back to his days as a waiter, barman and commis chef. For some time he wrote an acclaimed column 'Table For One' for the Herald. He has written six books. \n \nHe now lives in his native Glasgow, where he is famed among the journalist cogniscienti as 'The Urban Voltaire'.
