This book is a compilation of all those records, with accounts of finding a 'First for Britain' interspersed with 25 annual summaries of the birding years 1980-2004 and 25 essays by prominent birders about their special years during this period. The book is illustrated with colour photographs and black and white artworks. Foreword by Eric Meek.

About the Author:
Adrian Pitches is an environment correspondent for the BBC and is compiler of the 'News and Comments' section for British Birds. Tim Cleeves works for the RSPB and co-wrote the bestselling RSPB Handbook of British Birds (Helm).
