When the only existing working model is stolen, former fighter pilot Mark Muldoon and his buddies at Hearst Avionics must scramble to recover it. In the process they encounter industrial espionage, gangsters, and corporate wheeler-dealers. Unfortunately for the reader, the technology is only fleetingly described, the characters are two-dimensional, and the plot is very telegraphed. The romantic scenes are male fantasies reminiscent of the 1950s. The story as a whole has the excitement of warm soup. Not recommended.
