About the Author:

Nancy Kalish, Ph.D., is an emeritus professor of developmental psychology, California State University, Sacramento, where she taught child and adolescent psychology for many years. Nancy and her dog Chou Chou are a certified animal-assisted therapy team, visiting schools, nursing homes, and libraries, to lessen stress, bring smiles, and help children learn to read. She is best known as the international expert for her research on adults who reunited with friends and former sweethearts after being apart for many years. This book about Chou Chou, a true story, evolved from a similar theme.
