When Hawk books a room at her parent's inn while researching East Coast lighthouses, Bella excitedly volunteers to guide him to Sandyport's landmark tower, which may have a ghost. It's hard not to notice that one of the pen-and-ink illustrations is out of sync with the accompanying text, and Bella occasionally sounds more grown up than a kid her age should.
