Beautifully designed pages offer eye-catching photos and easily digested instructions for dozens of inexpensive contemporary-style projects, most of which can be completed in an hour or an afternoon. Besides the usual (dressers, coffee tables, picture frames, walls, and floors transformed with paint, fabric, paper, and glue), there are lots of nifty accents: drawer handles crafted from glass beads or a rustic twig; placemats that are actually blackboards for guests to scribble on; a shower curtain bedecked with plastic roses; tea lights covered in glitter; even a brilliant way to organize the ever-cluttered sock drawer (strips of polypropylene fastened in a criss-cross pattern to create dividers).
