At first glance, the photographs in House Beautiful Storage seem to be more of the same. But, if you look again, there are ideas many of us can use:
* Line cookbooks on a kitchen counter for added color, and a bit of sophistication. * * Use a floor-length table skirt to hide sundry things (CDs, books, shoes) * * Hang inexpensive fabric across a corner or an alcove for an instant closet. -- Cincinnati Enquirer, August 8, 1998
Storage is a subject close to just about everybody's heart. There never seems to be enough of it. With that truth in mind, the editors of House Beautiful have crafted a picture book that shows how to pack, squeeze and eke out all of the space possible from a home's existing architecture and furniture. This mid-scale hardcover is loaded with color photos, and reads easily with chapters organized by room. -- Chicago Tribune, August 9, 1998
