Many of the recipes are family favorites. The dishes incorporate varieties of hot and cold soups, stews, tasty pastas, flavorful seafood, chicken, meat dishes and creative desserts. Bowersox challenges cooks to accept a certain amount of discipline while at work in the kitchen, and at the same time reap the rewards of a seductive meal.
