From Library Journal:
This completes Scribner's five-volume Album of Science series, compilations of primary pictorial sources for the history of science. Our reviewer called the first volume, L. Pearce Williams's The Nineteenth Century ( LJ 4/15/78), "a valuable book" that "will best serve a general audience." The other titles in this series are I. Bernard Cohen's From Leonardo to Lavoisier, 1450-1800 ( LJ 4/15/78); John E. Murdoch's Antiquity and the Middle Ages (1984); and Merriley Borell's The Biological Sciences in the Twentieth Century (1988).
