Grade 1-5-This title encourages readers to compare two seemingly identical pictures for each of 10 Old Testament stories. Some of the changes are easy to spot, while others are subtle and require careful examination. Following each set of pictures is a two-page spread that provides the answers as well as a retelling of the story. The paintings are realistic, nicely composed, and make good use of color to convey the Middle-Eastern settings. The text is simple and readable and is illustrated with small excerpts from the large paintings. The book may spark some interest in the selections as well as help children visualize Biblical times. Best for individual use or for sharing one-on-one.
