About the Author:
Pier Paolo Pasolini was a noted poet, polemicist, novelist, and essayist. He also directed the films The Gospel According to Matthew, Oedipus Rex, and Theorem. In a scene seemingly lifted directly from his novels, Pasolini was brutally murdered on the outskirts of Rome in 1975 by a teenage hoodlum.
