About the Author:
Peter Straub, the author of Ghost Story, Koko, The Throat, and many other bestselling novels, was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in 1943. He has won two World Fantasy Awards and one HWA Stoker.

Norman Partridge has been writing horror and suspense fiction since 1989. His first short story collection won the Bram Stoker Award, and his first novel, Slippin' into Darkness, will be published by Zebra Books in 1995.

Kathe Koja's latest novel is Strange Angels. She lives in Detroit with her husband, artist Rick Lieder, and her son.

This marks Tim Smith's first professional sale; he promises more to come. His various past jobs include: truck driver, waiter, copy clerk, late night horror show host, tap dance instructor, bag boy, substitute teacher,and he is currently bartending at Twin City Country Club in Sandersville, Georgia.

Alan Rodgers is the author of Pandora, Fire, Night, Blood of the Children, and New Life for the Dead. Blood of the Children was a nominee for the Horror Writers of America Bram Stoker Award; his first story (actually a novelette), 'The Boy Who Came Back from the Dead,' won a Stoker and lost a World Fantasy Award. During the mid-eighties he edited the fondly remembered horror digest, Night Cry. He lives in Manhattan with his wife, Amy Stout, and his two daughters, Alexandra and Andrea Rodgers.

Gordon R. Ross is a writer/illustrator and a longtime newspaperman. He currently lives in southern Oregon.

Chet Williamson's latest novel is Second Chance. Among his seven other novels are Reign, Mordenheim, and Dreamthorp. Over eighty of his short stories have appeared in The New Yorker, Playboy, The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction, and many other magazines and anthologies.

David B. Silva, after publishing The Horror Show for eight years, gave up the magazine to devote time to his own writing. His short stories have appeared in numerous anthologies and magazines, and in 1991 he won a Horror Writers of America Bram Stoker Award for his story "The Calling." The Disappeared, his fourth novel, is due out from Headline House in the summer of 1995.

Clark Perry's short stories have appeared in a variety of publications, including the anthology YOUng Blood and Science Fiction Age magazine. A graduate of the Clarion writing workshop, he lives in northwest Florida with his wife, Donna Long, and four cats.

Tyson Blue is a contributing editor to Cemetery Dance and also to Castle Rock. He lives in upstate New York.

Lawrence Greenberg is a New York City-based freelance writer who has published short stories, poetry, articles, and book reviews in such places as the Washington Post, the Cleveland Plain Dealer, The Complete Vampire Companion, The Secret Prophecies of Nostradamus, Borderlands 4, and a number of horror and Sf magazines.

Brad Linaweaver is a Nebula finalist and author of the Prometheus Award-winning novel Moon of Ice. He has sold numerous stories and articles to magazines as diverse as Amazing, Fantastic, Galaxy, Chronicles, Famous Monsters of Filmland, and National Review. A radio play of his has appeared on National Public Radio as part of the Horror House series.

Thomas F. Monteleone has been a professional writer since 1972. He has published more than ninety short stories in numerous magazines and books, and has edited six anthologies, including the highly acclaimed Borderlands series, edited with his wife, Elizabeth. Of his twenty novels, his most recent, The Blood of the Lamb, received the 1993 Bram Stoker Award. His newest novel, The Ressurrectionist, will appear in the fall of 1995.

Don D'ammassa is a veteran short story writer with appearances in numerous successful anthologies. Among his recent credits are Journeys to the Twilight Zone III, 100 Vicious Little Vampire Stories, and 100 Weird Little Witch Tales.

Paul M. Sammon is a contributing editor to Cemetery Dance magazine and a veteran filmmaker and short story writer. He currently lives in California. His latest books are The King Is Dead: Tales of Elvis Post-Mortem and The Christmas Carol Trivia Book. Mr. Sammon celebrated the beginning of 1995 by acting as the Digital and Optical Effects Supervisor of the recent science-fiction picture Night Skies.
