From School Library Journal:
Grade 4-6 An interesting encyclopedia-type book with many (but not all) of the questions based on the "Where is. . ." model. Questions cover such diverse fields as biology, geology, history, anthropology and technology. The format is good, with each question printed in blue type, answered succinctly in boldface type and further explained in regular type. Each page (and nearly every question) is illustrated, although some of the questionsespecially those dealing with animalscould have benefited from even more illustrations. The table of contents and indexes are both very complete, but there are no "see" or "see also" references. Some students may be confused by occasional British terms (maize for corn), and there is a slight emphasis on questions pertaining to Europe, but in general the scope is worldwide. While the book is not comprehensive enough for most report assignments, it will serve as an extra for browsers. Kathryn M. Weisman, Willowbrook School Library Media Center, Glenview, Ill.
