Naturally, the course of true love never did run smoothly, and it isn't long before Papa is on her trail with hilarious results.

In Angelina, Mr. Shames has found a sympathetic heroine, and in his collection of undercover cops, cross-dressing mafiosi, vengeful hit men, and long-suffering wives, he has created a memorable cast of supporting characters.
Laurence Shames hasn’t done a real day’s work in thirty years. Instead, he’s written eight Key West novels, ghosted three bestsellers, and penned several books of non-fiction, as well as assorted screenplays, essays, and criticism. His writing has been translated into many languages he cannot read. Formerly the “Ethics” columnist for Esquire, he lives in Southern California.
