I loved the challenge in writing the ecstatic, meditativetrance state involved in shibari rope bondage. It's amazing to look at-my hopeis that people will look it up to see the beauty of the ropes.
 
My first hero, Desmond, is one of my tougher dominants. He'sa tortured soul, strict, hyper-responsible. I love that Ava's gentleness bringshim to his knees for the first time in his life.
 
James in the second story is one of my favorite heroesever-and one of my editor's, too! As a war journalist he's been through somuch, and the ropes offer him a safe way to express his rage at the cruelty ofthe world. He's an incredibly strong character, one I couldn't help but fall inlove with. Marina is every bit as strong as he is, and it was a joy to writeher journey, to explore the way James broke through her tough reserve and made heropen up.
 
This was one of my favorite books to write-it made me cry asI typed, and I loved every minute of it.
