Bradshaw, who led the Pittsburgh Steelers to four Super Bowl victories in six years, is now a TV sports analyst. In this pleasant if routine sports autobiography, written with Denver Post columnist Martin, the former quarterback reviews his career and offers observations on life in general. He has few kind words for Steelers Coach Chuck Noll, who allegedly regarded him as a mere commodity (the two remain estranged), praises teammates Mean Joe Green and Franco Harris and exercises unusual generosity when judging other quarterbacks, even calling attention to the ways in which he believes Joe Montana and Dan Marino have surpassed him. Looking deeper, Bradshaw heartily attacks the widespread contention that he is naive or dull-witted--but admits to a wondrous innocence when he arrived in Pittsburgh. Photos not seen by PW .
