The photos that illustrate most (not the section on electric clipping) of the techical points in this 196 page `how-to' are of children at a summer riding camp owned by the author's parents. Almost half-and-half , photos and text. Learn more about : bridle paths, pasterns, withers, ticklish spots, crossties, and mud-knots. Cond : Boards are green with white lettering on spine only. D.J. is also green with white lettering. D.J. (photo)graphic is of a young girl using the `dandy-brush '. Volume has a publisher's note on ffep saying it is a `hurt book ' - which seems to refeee to uneven gathers. Apart from very light soiling the book has no apparent flaws. Nor does it have names, marks, tears, nor creases. The d.j. is rubbed and has a piece missing from one fore-corner BUT is now protected in mylar. Good young rider's reference shelf item !! Quote (p. 30) ;: " Grooming is one way to keep your horse's legs sound. There are two spots to watch on his legs : behind the pasterns and the bottoms of his feet.
