Concentrates on the personal nature of this approach from the perspective of a professional, a potential or actual client or any person interested in understanding themselves and their relationship with the world around them.

From the Back Cover:
The First Edition of this book has formed the basis for many training courses in personal construct psychology. People undertaking  therapy using this approach have found it a helpful and reassuring source of information. Its purpose was to make George Kelly’s ideas accessible to a wide range of readers. As this accessibility is what has attracted the favourable response.

The Second Edition retains the chapters on the theory and procedures for its practical application largely unchanged – only ‘pruned’ and clarified where this was felt necessary. Examples of the ideas in action have been updated and the work of later writers and practitioners brought in.

The scope of the book is widened by the introduction of a new chapter on the use of PCP in work for organisations, an area of development which has expanded greatly in the last ten years.

Book Description Paperback. Condition: Very Good. This is an attempt to make the ideas of George Kelly accessible to those who have little or no formal psychological training but feel the need for a coherent framework for their understanding of themselves or others. Kelly's theory is increasingly applied in a wide range of settings, especially those concerned with therapy, education and other areas where such understanding is essential. Many professionals, be they therapists, teachers, social workers, or personnel managers, find that this approach both enhances their work with clients, pupils, students and fellow workers and helps them personally to deal more effectively with the difficulties and dilemmas which face them in their own lives. It is hoped that by a process of interweaving theoretical ideas and practical examples, the essence of a meaningful view of personality may be conveyed. The book has been read, but is in excellent condition. Pages are intact and not marred by notes or highlighting. The spine remains undamaged. Seller Inventory # GOR001827092
