About the Author:
BENJAMIN STEIN is a consulting engineer with more than 50 years of experience in all phases of environmental control system design. He is also a former associate professor at the B'zalel Institute School of Environmental Design, Jerusalem.

JOHN S. REYNOLDS, AIA, is Professor Emeritus of Architecture at the University of Oregon and a registered architect in private practice. He was given the annual Passive Pioneer award by the American Solar Energy Society in 1996, and was named an ACSA Distinguished Professor by the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture in 1998.
