He's a child of privilege, buying land for his rich rancher father during his summer vacation from Princeton; she's the daughter of a farmer, selling real estate in Dansville to make her way. Their attraction is mutual, their relationship deeply sensuous, often tempestuous, and notably illicit in this time and place.
