Every new kid learns the hard way--no one messes with Veronica Ganz. She's bigger than everyone else, and meaner, too. When shrimpy Peter Wedemeyer starts acting up, Veronica knows she has to show him who's boss--but Peter finds a million sneaky ways to get to her. Veronica hates it. She's got to come up with a new way to settle the score.

Book Description Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. First UK Edition. The interior of the book is crisp and clean, showing no marks or wear. The black covers are fresh, with just a touch of wear at tips and corners. The gilt spine lettering is still bright. The dust jacket is not price-clipped, and shows light wear overall. There is a nick of paper missing from the bottom right hand corner (which should be visible in the attached scan), but this is the only serious flaw. The jacket is now in a protective mylar cover. Synopsis: A 'tween' novel about a young girl who others saw as a bully, and how she sorts out her feelings about herself and her family. Veronica's father had disappeared when she and her sister were babies, their hardworking but often short-tempered mother wasn't easy to live with, their step-father seemed almost too easy-going, and their young brother seemed to be the favourite child in the house. Being large for her age and teased at school didnt' help either. An incident at school that helps Veronic come to terms with herself and her family, also helps her turn away from her bullying ways.
