Or en histoire, il n'y a de vraie preuve que les documents authentiques. Je vous les apporte: des textes, des chants, des tableaux. Peut être ces documents vous paraîtront - ils quelquefois trop nombreux, et même un peu fatigants. Je m'ex cuse d'avance. Mais il m'a semblé que, dans une question aussi éminemment protestante, je devais me servir de la méthode protestante, laquelle consiste à mettre les auditeurs en état de se décider par eux mêmes, contre l'erreur, pour la vérité.
