I, p. 73, ci dą ulteriori notizie sull'argomento, e conchiude che il solo colore nero deve usarsi nell'abito e veste chie 'ricale si dei greci, che dei latini. A'greci parlando Simeonedi Tes salonica, sul loro iniziamento al cle ricato, dice: Episcopus vestem nigram, quae humilitatis, et re ligiosi timoris symbolum est, be nedicit, et consecrandum jubet eam induere A' latini, com'č notissimo, eccetto quelli costituiti in dignitą ecclesiastiche, ai quali si ri serba il paonazzo a'prelati ed il rosso ai Cardinali, il nero č solo consentito, meno le concessioni di privilegi, di cui si tratta ai rispet tivi articoli del Dizionario anche circa i colori diversi dei diversi ornamenti, che lungo qui sarebbe citare.
