About the Author:

SIMON REICH is A Professor at the Division of Global Affairs at Rutgers Newark. He formerly held appointments as Professor and Director of the Ford Institute at the University of Pittsburgh and the Director of Research and Analysis at the Royal Institute for International Affairs (Chatham House) in London. He has published numerous books, most recently two co-edited books entitled, Child Soldiers: Children and Armed Conflict in the Age of Fractured States (2009) and Managing Ethnic Diversity After 9/11: Integration, Security and Civil Liberties in Transatlantic Perspective (2010).
