Synopsis

If your child has Tourette Syndrome (TS), or any other chronic motor or vocal tic disorder, you know how important it is to get the best treatment available. Behavior therapy, as described in this workbook, is a treatment for tic disorders that is scientifically proven to help sufferers of TS manage their symptoms.

This 11-session program involves helping your child become aware of his tics and the situations that make them worse. Douglas W. Woods, Ph.D., is Associate Professor of Psychology and Director of Clinical Training at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He is a member of the Trichotillomania Learning Center's Scientific Advisory Board, and a member of the Tourette Syndrome Association's Medical Advisory
Board. He has published over 100 journal articles and book chapters on these and related topics.
