CHARLES C. MANZ, Ph.D., is Nirenberg Professor of Business Leadership, Isenberg School of Management, University of Massachusetts, Amherst. A leading author, speaker, and consultant, he has been working for many years to enhance the effectiveness of individuals in their lives and work.

He has authored or co-authored several books and articles on self-leadership, leadership, work teams and employee empowerment, including Emotional Discipline: The Power to Choose How You Feel; The New SuperLeadership (with H.P. Sims, Jr.); The Power of Failure; The Wisdom of Solomon at Work (with K.P. Manz, R.D. Marx, and C. Neck), and Fit to Lead (with Tedd Mitchell and Chris Neck).

He has served on the Core Planning Committee, National Spirituality in Work and Higher Education Conference; and as a member of the Board of Advisors to The Works Magazine.
