From Library Journal:
This third edition of a guide to the resting places of over 350 notable historical and royal figures buried in England has been extensively revised and updated to include Princess Diana, historical places of execution, and a list of people cremated at Golders Green. The book has been organized into eight categories according to profession or social status of the figures (sovereigns, authors, actors, etc.), with each category arranged alphabetically. Brief biographical information has been provided for each listing as well as a geographical checklist by county. When no actual grave exists, an approximation is given. For example, the listing for Ethelbald I (d.757) mentions that he is reputed to be buried in the crypt of St. Wynstan's Church, Repton, Derbyshire. Illustrious Americans buried in England, such as William Penn, T.S. Eliot, and Francis Brett Harte, have also been included. This ready-reference tool is recommended for public libraries where interest in the subject is high.DRavi Shenoy, North Central Coll. Lib., Naperville, IL
