This book is a revised, updated and expanded edition of "Planning for public transport". The new text reflects the major changes in transport organization and research findings in the years since first publication. "Peter White has been responsible for postgraduate teaching in public transport systems at the Polytechnic of Central London ( PCL ) since 1971 and is currently course leader for the MSc transport planning course. Since joining the PCL he has been responsible for developing research in public transport and has undertaken consultancy work in a number of areas, including work with the Select Committee on Nationalized Industries and a study of the West Midlands Travelcard.".
